What Light

What Light

What light brings me through my window pane?
Forever changed, yet something remains.
Could bells be peeling out in the rain?
These are sounds that we can not explain.

But oo it’s so real, when I’m here with you.
It seems surreal, when I’m here with you.

What space in time do we occupy?
My watch has stopped and so have I.
Birds can swim, the fish can fly
Trees sprout wings and the rocks can cry.

But oo it’s so real, when I’m here with you.
It seems surreal, when I’m here with you.

Lying down upon the ground I ask.
Is the whole world really on my back?
Look out into the sky and gasp.
You’ll find your face there behind the mask.

But oo it’s so real, when I’m here with you.
It seems surreal, when I’m here with you.
