The "American Dream" Streamliner is the Arivett's
latest, land speed racecar. This vehicle has been in the
design and fabrication stage for over two years
now and nearing completion. The American Dream Streamliner
is an attempt by the Arivett Group to capture an
elusive record,The All time "Wheel Driven" Land Speed
Record.
This year proves to be one of the most exciting
years in recent history for Land Speed Racing.About
ten teams are going after the "Wheel Driven Record" of 438 mph.
at Bonneville salt flats, during "Speed Week" in the
month of August. The "American Dream" will make its
"opening statement" on El Mirage dry lake bed in
Southern California at the SCTA sanctioned speed
trials on may 5th 2002.
Here are the components: Two opposing turbocharged
intercooled V-8 internal combustion race engines. These
engines are dyno tested at over 1000 hp on
gasoline. Two specially built automatic racing
transmissions, thus, 4 wheel drive! A four wheel disc
brake system. The tires on this wild looking
streamliner are rated for use at over 500 mph. This is the
speed objective, 500 mph!
At 30 ft long it would be safe to say that "there's
lots of room available for advertising", in fact the
Group has left a large area open in the paint scheme
just for that purpose. The Arivett Group is open for
discussion concerning sponsorship availability and
they can be contacted thru this site. Check out the first Team shirts available from our
