Don Arivett is suffering from diabetes, at the end of 2001, Don had a
large portion of his foot removed. This has been an ongoing problem for
Don and he deals with it as well as can be expected. As a matter of fact
when he was released from the hospital,he drove straight to pick up
some parts for the race car.Don loves what he does and his dedication
is proof of that.
Just when it seemed like things could'nt get any worse, Don had some
kind of attack. January 28th 2002.Apparently an intestional blockage. He
had an operation and is in recovery at this time. Don is a fighter and
we know by "the Grace of God" Don will be at El Mirage on May 5th to
show off the new streamliner.
Gerald has been spending his 40+ hours per week working out of the
union hall as a millwright, he is near his retirement and still going
strong. On weekends he appears at the shop to help out in any way
possible.
At this time both Don and Gerald are experiencing financial
difficulties, If you feel like you would like to help the Brothers you
can show your support by purchasing a T-shirt,and wearing it proudly to
help get exposure to the Arivett Brothers Project. These guys have never
had a major sponsor and they are long overdue. Some say they are "too
far ahead of our time".
The t-shirts are Black with 4 colors "Red-White-Blue-Gold"
silkscreened (not transefered) On Hanes Beefy T's. We will be adding a
shirt of the Top Fuel Car soon and also die cast models. Thank you for
your support and even without a purchase, it's been a pleasure sharing
this site with you!
