The Arivett Brothers are streamlining the future with their current Battery Fueled Electronic Streamliner Aerodynamics Technology (BFESAT)
project. They have recently entered the arena of building battery fueled electronic bonneville streamliners, with world record setting results.
Their first (BFS) creation sliced through the wind with electrifying
results, "Lightning Rod" (owned and operated by Randy
Ranburg) set the all time World record at Bonneville Salt Flats
with a two way speed of 215 mph! The first car to hold the record at over 200 mph!
The foundation for the BFESAT project was poured by the late Ed Ranburg. A pioneering innovator of battery fueled automotive technology. His final vehicle 'Lightning Rod', created by the Arivett Brothers is the second fastest land speed record holding electronic vehicle. This vehicle is fueled by coventional type 12 volt automotive batteries.
Unfortunately this record was not achieved during Ed's lifetime. Although his son Randy Ranburg laid down a beautiful 215 mph two way average, the former world record. Randy's performance is a dedicated tribute to Ed's patient years of research and development.
White Lightning
The following vehicle of the BFESAT project 'White Lightning', owned and operated by World Record Performance Associates, is basically from the same mold but utilizes RC type electronics technology. This vehicle is the current world record holder at 245 mph, and the Brothers are looking for 280-300 mph out of this BFS in the near future.
